LThe companies member of AICCOR and the Footwear Technology Center of La Rioja, CTCR, took part from 10th to 13th June in the 88th edition of the trade fair Expo Riva Schuh, that was carried out in Riva del Garda, Italy. In particular, ÁNGEL DOMÍNGUEZ RUIZ- AFPL GLOBAL, CALZADOS ARNEDANOS-ISASA-OLDROOF, CIENTA-NATURAL WORLD, CRUAN - PETALOUS, ECONFORT - LARO - MACARENA, ELBA-MALAVAL, GAIMO, JESÚS ALFONSO, MURO-NIAGARA- GARRIDO MURO, NATURAL WORLD, PARAMI, SUYUTE and VIDORRETA (Cima Footwear) showed the new footwear collections for the summer 2018. That means that the visitors had a complete preview of the offer and can plan the orders in advance. For the exhibitors, this fair represents the first chance to test the collections and adjust the production plans. In fact, it is also the last event in the calendar for the orders of the present season winter 17/18, thanks to the pronto-moda collections, novelties and the stock replenishment.
In this way, the aforementioned companies, most of them located in Arnedo, took advantage of their presence in the first trade fair of the season, organized by Riva del Garda Fierecongressi. The visitors, who could check the quality of the products from La Rioja, are characterized by being part of the organised distribution - large warehouses, hypermarkets, buying groups, mail-order sales, store chains, large chains, distributors, importers - but also small and independent retailers.
The 88th edition of Expo Riva Schuh had approximately 1,400 exhibitors and 78% of them were international from more than forty countries. The total net exhibition area was 32,000m2. The larger quantity of exhibitors came from China (36.7%), Italy (21.8%), India (9.8%), Spain (4.6%), Portugal (4.6%), Germany (3.9%), Brazil (1.7%) and Turkey (0.8%).
Expo Riva Schuh traditionally indicates the mood and trends of the international market. The official figures provided by the Organization confirmed an influx of 11,025 professionals in the last edition of June 2016 (78% international), a figure very similar to June 2015, when there were 11,366 visitors.
