METHODOLOGY

Technological innovation is a fundamental factor for the competitiveness of companies. It requires involvement from the financial, human and material resources part, to what many companies individually have no access. In Spain, given the structure of the industry formed mainly by SMEs, the technology and research centers successfully cover this need.

Numerous Spanish companies have opted to outsource their R & D requirements in order to, through sharing resources with other companies with similar innovation needs, be able to generate results that contribute to the maintenance or improvement of their products in the market.
Precisely here the technology and research centers can lead to great innovations since they have proven through their results to be a tool of extraordinary efficiency in the production of technological changes and innovations that allow companies to improve their levels of productivity and their capacity of growth in a highly competitive global environment.

According to COTEC (an innovation foundation in Spain), 30% of the innovative activity of companies in Spain comes from the technology and research centers. The work developed by the research centers contributes towards:

The CTCR is aware that efforts should be focused on facilitating the incorporation of innovation as part of the strategic plan and the organizational structure of a company.
Through innovation and creativity, we can achieve more competitive and differentiated products and services. Therefore, instead of reducing costs, the shoe industry should focus on generating high value products for the final consumer, because...

"One of the ways to add value and differentiation, establishing technological barriers with the competition is through introducing research, development and technological innovation into products and processes"

Thus, carrying out this pattern, the current footwear industry can be improved, adding new capabilities or improving the efficiency and sustainability of both the process and the product.

The methodology or form of work developed by the CTCR for this purpose is the following:
